SUPERGAS Ushers New Era of Excellence at Uluberia Filling Plant

In a move that reflects SUPERGAS's unwavering commitment to excellence, the Uluberia Filling Plant in Kolkata has undergone a significant transformation. This upgrade is not just about enhancing operations; it's a promise to our customers, stakeholders, and the environment, emphasizing improved productivity, superior service, heightened safety, and a resolute customer-first approach.

The upgraded plant was formally inaugurated by Mr. Steven Sels, Global COO and Management Board Member of SHV Energy, and Mr. Ajay Sanghi, CEO of SUPERGAS. 

One of the key enhancements at the Uluberia Filling Plant is the introduction of an automated conveyor belt for cylinder filling. This cutting-edge system ensures precision and quality in the filling process. To further enhance operational efficiency and reliability, the plant has been equipped with modernized process equipment.

Safety has always been a top priority at SUPERGAS, and the Uluberia Filling Plant reflects this commitment. The upgraded plant features an advanced firefighting system, ensuring rapid response and containment in case of emergencies. Additionally, improved access roads facilitate easy movement of vehicles within the plant premises, enhancing emergency response capabilities.

To create a healthier work environment, SUPERGAS has replaced the asbestos roof top sheets with sustainable pre-painted galvanized iron sheets. Additionally, an occupational health center and dedicated modern driver rest rooms have been incorporated within the administration office, ensuring the well-being of all employees.
